Boss #1 told me that Boss #2 didn't want me working with Boss #2 anymore. Boss #1 also told Boss #2 that I didn't want to work for Boss #2 anymore.
td;lr is the title, really.
Boss 1 and Boss 2 are business partners. Boss 2 is my direct supervisor, I've learned tons of specialty work from her. This is 100% remote and I'm stuck in a small town that speaks a language I can't.
Boss 2 has her quirks, whatever, she is extremely bright and has spent a ton of time training me and then promoting me with pay and title to reflect my "specialty" skills.
Boss 1 is actually CEO and does most of the BD. Really the strong arm of the company growth, policies, etc. He wanted my presence on more of "his projects" and something he is very interested in recently came up. He does not have the "specialty" background so it would be me or Boss 2 doing a major component.
CEO Boss 1 convinces Boss 2 that I do not want to work for her anymore, that I basically hate her. She is angry, but tries to continue as normal as possible because I'm still doing my work, but seemingly unhappy.
Today she finally told me today what Boss 1 said about me. I was able to explain the sadness came from thinking she didn't want me working for her anymore, and point out some specific ways Boss 2 did act. Boss 2 and I talk it out. But Boss 1 is central to this company and I do usually do a bit of stuff for him.
Boss 2 has offered to be a "shield" but in the past it has failed. Boss 1 is a bully.
Do I have a future? I should add Boss 1 and Boss 2 are well known superstar$$$ in a smaller industry. They could hire better than me, too.
