I’ve been out of a job for a while and have been hoping to get a retail position to make some side money. While my resume is fine and I’ve been getting occasional interviews, I’m a naturally anxious and introverted person, and find myself constantly falling flat in interviews.
I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. Is there a particular way to prepare for an interview? If you’re an employer, what differentiates between candidates that make it and those that don’t?
My other thought was that if whether sales is just not for me? I’m also studying biological sciences at the moment. While I would prefer to find a position in this field, I’m not sure where to start without proper qualifications. Should I be aiming for internships instead?/how do I find them?
Tldr: 1) awful at interviews, dont know what im doing wrong; 2) am i wasting my time and try to find employment somewhere else?
