First thing to mention is that I am applying internally at a university I work at and am looking to transfer to different location. I applied for an Admissions Counselor position on Feb 28th and got a call 3 weeks later for a phone interview. That interview was held on March 29th. I have not heard back after the interview and am looking into others now. The position would've put me in the right direction towards my career, but since I haven't heard back I don't want to dwell on that. I am still slightly hopeful due to the fact they did not seem to give me a finite timeline on their interview process so it could be just taking a while. The new position is just an Administrative Assistant for student affairs and is very different from the initial position, it has some minor similarities but I do worry its not a greater stepping stone. I just don't want to affect my career plans negatively. I am becoming more eager to move because the plan was to move by April, but I also don't want to show that I am desperate with more applications for other positions.
