Reapplying at a company I've applied to?

I'm looking for a new job and there's a company that I've applied to earlier who posted about a job that fits me. I'm thinking of reapplying but wouldn't it be awkward? Should I mention in the email that I'm reapplying?

The company's owner is my aunt's friend and she told me to go to an interview not knowing that it's actually for a different position than what I've thought. That's why I probably didn't hear back from them.
