I'm in high school rn so this isnt so critical for me, but I was curious about what life in the state department is like. I know you have to know a language, and your first few years are in a shitty 3rd world country, but beyond that, what do yall do? Is it just filling out Visa applications and looking at passports? Or do you get a chance to implement/influence foreign policy abroad?
