In October of 2018 I left my last job and a former supervisor offered to be a reference for me. In February I contacted him just to make sure it was still ok and he actually offered before I could ask. I’m still applying for things and have an offer contingent upon a reference check and they require 2 former supervisors which means I would be required to put him down rather than people I’ve been in regular contact with more recently. Is it still appropriate to put him down, or would I have to reach out and ask again?
