I am at the point when they told me they are prepared to draft me an offer. Though they asked me twice or thrice to say my rate before doing so (I tried to deflect the question a few times - all salary related questions happened through emails).
The company in question has reputation that pays somewhat on the lower side (source: glassdoor reviewers).
This job is important for me (it's overseas and life changing), I want to accept it, even if i must accept on the lower side, however i would very much like to get what i believe i am really worth, so.. I don't want to overshoot and spook them away. But i really don't like to meekly accept the lower pay.
The interview was successful, and i managed to present myself as a highly professional and great asset to their team. The image i created for myself on the interview is that i am somewhere between Level 1-2 seniority (out of 3 levels, the greater the number the greater the experience - so Junior 1-3,Mid 1-3, Senior 1-3, Supervisor). Honestly, I believe I am between Mid 3 - Senior 1. However, I bring some rare skills (for my job position) to the table like coding in Python experience, that are considered a plus in my industry. I have almost 6 years of experience.
Based on Indeed for this specific company: The salary ranges from approximately $67k per year for to $78k per year for Seniors

However, Neuvoo reports about $67k and Glassdoor reports about $56k for a National average salary for my job position.
Glassdoor seems to present the lowest average of them all. And I am not really sure what to believe (I am still researching the get more accurate numbers).
I am not sure if I should try to deflect the question again and try to get an offer first (I still don't know about their compensation packages so i was thinking maybe asking this question first).
