I applied for a mid-level event management job at a major corporate hotel brand in my mid-sized U.S. city and was contacted today for an initial interview. The format however is completely new to me-- it's a "digital interview" where they want me to record short video responses to several prompts and submit them to HR/hiring manager for consideration. It seems like they are using this format to replace the usual first round of phone interviews.
Anyone have any experience in this format, especially in the hospitality industry, and any tips for success you can provide? I like to think I interview very well, but I've never before had an interview in this format so it makes me a bit nervous. It's recorded (not live with a recruiter on the other end).
