Think i just got screwed out of a promotion because a fellow employee played the race card

So. I was told by my supervisor and her supervisor that I pretty was getting a lead position. My supervisor said that she would email hr and make it official... Thought it sounded too easy...

The following week 2 co-workers, one black female, and one white female, started going to HR, and other supervisors that they pretty much felt it was a hostile work environment.

The week prior. They both made a pretty huge mistake, and have been acting weird since. They complained that I ordered them around too much, but contradicted themselves saying that it's my fault they made the huge mistake, because I didn't go over and stop them in time.

They also complain that I check their work when they feel I have no right to. Even though our supervisor said to always check each other's work.

My supervisor often comments on how they make a lot of mistakes and don't pay attention to what their doing in general.

Anyway, come today, we had a meeting with HR. They said their piece I said mine. The black woman stated she thought I didn't like her because she was black, even though the white woman made the same accusations.

They all vented and it doesn't look like I'm getting the promotion which I was told that was mine. I work harder than both my 2 co-workers, I pay more attention, I take intative, ask more questions, ask for more responsibility. I would say I'm more qualified, and both my supervisor and hers felt the same way. Even though my supervisor didn't speak on individual preformance

Again before I get called a racist here too. They're we're 2 employees, one was black and the other white. They both felt I didn't like them. But was still racist for apparently treating them both equally.

I guess I can't but help feel a little screwed over. I definitely would like to hear some constructive input and really think things through before I do anything rash.
