Hello all- Today I signed for a new company and am wondering what next steps are usually regarding the background check/any employment or education verification.
I am leaving a job where senior mgmt is known to give previous employees a tough time. Will my new role reach out to this company to verify my employment? I’m worried this may cause an issue or my soon-to-be previous employer may get vindictive.
The company I’m moving to is fairly small/medium (250 ppl). Are they going to have a super thorough check process? I don’t have anything I should be worried about but I’m a natural worrier so I’m just letting my mind run regarding the employment verification.
Any insights on this process would be great to hear. Thanks.
