I am underpaid compared to the rest of my team. How can I go about being paid equally?

I started a job last year as an administrator for a financial services company. After about 7 months there, I was promoted to another team which requires more responsibility and knowledge of the business. At the exact same time, my old team's starting salary was increased across the board. This was largely due to difficulty recruiting as well as myself and others having previously complained to managers that we weren't being paid enough. So now someone just walking in the door for my old role is earning the exact same as me. We are also 'banded' for how experienced and well-performing we are. My boss promoted me because I had shown exceptional merit in my old team - but now I am being paid the same as someone showing the lowest merit in my old team.

To make matters worse, two new starters in my new team joined around the same time as my promotion. They have job titles that are one level up from me. But they do the exact same job as me. In fact, I take on much more than them and am much more efficient due to my experience. I even train them on how to do their job. But they are paid much more than me.

I did broach the topic with my manager but was shot down with 'salaries have been decided'. She did however agree that it seemed unfair. I'm also conscious that in my old team I did ask for two pay rises already. I'm scared to bring it up again.

I'm really struggling with resentment and the fact that my work is of a higher standard but worth much less in monetary terms. I found myself snapping at one of the new team members when they asked me a dumb question about some work they were fumbling along with. They're paid roughly 20% more than me.

I've applied to other jobs but the job market in my area is shitty. This job is comfortable and I'm good at it. I really like my team members as well (despite the pay resentment).

How should I approach this?

If this adds context, I'm the youngest woman in the company and this is my first job out of college.
