So I'm only 3-4 months into my first job and I already want to just walk out. When I was hired my boss told me that she "hadn't trained people in a long time" so it essentially became a sink or swim environment for me from the get-go. Work was/is still kind if slow, and I feel like I'm getting the hang of things, but a lack of procedures and consistency by my boss (and her daughter, which is basically my second boss) led to some mistakes that I was instantly chastized for. Granted I probably shouldn't have made the mistakes that I did, but if I feel as though if I were trained properly and if solid procedures were in place I wouldn't have made them.
My boss is also near constantly complaining about the family (it's a family owned and operated enterprise, a family which she is apart of), who all work here as well as various other employees in the company, gossiping about them in her office to her daughter and my coworkers - I try and stay away from it since I just find it toxic and I want nothing to do with that and makes me feel intense anxiety. My boss' daughter also for some reason has come to hate me for whatever reason, never wanting to cooperate and is simply never friendly with me in the same way she is with my coworkers, hell, even today when I asked her a follow up question to an ongoing project she stated "I can't even talk to you right now," and walked away, which I obviously found unwarranted and unprofessional.
Now I have incredible anxiety whenever I hear both my bosses footsteps, and I feel physically nauseous just turning the key in the ignition every day not knowing how the day is going to go. I have I believe enough cash to float on for two or three months until I find another job. I suppose then I'm asking if the action I wish to take is rational or if I should endure it for longer and just suck it up since it's my first job and this is the norm or something, I have no idea. Thoughts?
TL;DR: I feel awful anxiety over my first job and want to walk out cause my bosses and experience have been awful so far.
