Today I had my third interview - in a 3 person department - and they all seemed to go well. Keeping my fingers crossed for an offer soon.
The job would be for one of my clients at my current job. I would become the person who would be interacting day to day with whomever takes my role. I'm not sure what the best way to deal with this is, I know my manager will not want to lose me but at this point I am so over worked they are literally interviewing people to take over about half of my workload. She would know pretty quick, even if I don't disclose where I'm leaving to in my notice.
I think my second biggest concern is negotiating for the position correctly as it's a more challenging position than my current one and would involve some travel.
Has anyone here ever left a job to become the client? How did that go/best way to handle the transition?
Are there things I need to think about when negotiating a job where I'd at least need to travel to HQ regularly, if not elsewhere as time goes on?
