This is a mid-level customer service position. I applied for a position (which I was unqualified for, but I was in the heat of applying that day) and was rejected kindly. A few days later, someone at the company reaches out and says that my resume had been passed along to them because they thought I'd be a good fit. The manager of the department agreed and promptly requested to have a phone interview.
It went extremely well. She made it clear she was interested and that she typically shies away from giving anyone her decision on a follow-up interview while still in the phone interview portion, but that she wanted to meet with me and that I should plan out a time the following week.
I do so, and go in this morning. It goes very well. She loves my resume, we have great rapport, and I have a secondary interview with her manager. They both make it clear I'm a great fit for the position, and they ask me to stick around an additional 20 minutes to meet with the team I'd potentially be joining. I'm applying for one of two or three open spots on the team, and I think that flexibility gave them confidence that I should be heavily considered for one of them. Everything went well!
The original manager came in, who had sought me out, and gave me a run down of the next steps. I need to meet with the CFO and CEO, either in person or over the phone, and their talent person will reach out to me shortly to schedule it. She warned me that the interview process tends to take several weeks because they are thorough and require several interviews before making the decision. Also that no one gets hired unless the CEO meets them first, which is great.
Thing is, there was no salary available on the application, nor any reported salaries for customer service roles on glassdoor and the like. There are almost 100 for higher up roles, but nothing for the small team I'd be joining. It's an hourly position and I know what the going rate is for my skillset and this job type, but they didnt mention once in the interview what their range is. What would you make of this?
