SO has 4 years restaurant manager exp. Quit and has been unemployed for a few months... no one will hire him.

My SO quit his job a few months ago bc the job was impeding on his mental health. It was rushed and an abrupt decision but since then he’s been applying to jobs every day. At this point, he’s applied to over a hundred jobs and only a handful have replied to either reject him or to give him a tentative interview where he’s later rejected. He has long hair and tattoos, but it’s not like he’s applying to business positions. Labor, delivery, office, management. He doesn’t want to work in food service but at this point he may be desperate enough to work in food service again.

His restaurant experience is all he has as it was his first job out of high school. He doesn’t know what he’s doing wrong and no employers will reply to his emails asking for feedback. It’s worsened his depression and he feels helpless and afraid he’ll lose his home and be homeless. What can we do?
