I'm a grad student that is I trying to get into the biotech industry after a Ph.D in bioinformatics. After almost 200 hundred applications, telephone interviews in the teens and 7 fly-out second interviews, I've got 5 jobs "on the burner" and I think I'm nearing the finish line (one has called my references and says it's me and one other candidate).
However, a different job's hiring manager emailed me to schedule a "time to talk" yesterday. I'm hoping for an offer but I suppose it could be a rejection (as I see on r/jobs there are a couple posts with phone-call rejections).
So I put it to you, r/jobs, out of all your 2nd round interviews, how many employers have called to reject you? (And maybe say how many called to offer, just for positivity :)
Thanks!
