Would it look bad if I specified to my temp agency how long I want to stay at a specific assignment?

My agency is great and they currently have me at an assignment. I don't mind the current placement and I've gotten good feedback on my performance, but I don't think I'd want to stay there. Rumor has it that my three-week assignment could get extended but I would rather get "re-assigned".

Would it be weird to ask my agency to continue considering me for other positions even though I'm currently assigned to one? The reason I signed up in the first place is because I wanted to explore different companies and find the right fit.
