What is my actual job title, based on the job description?

At my company my title is Administrative Assistant. However, I don't answer phones, schedule meetings, or write letters. I don't do anything that is normally found on the job description of being an Admin Assistant. Having my title as Admin Assistant has hampered my job search. At first I was looking for Admin jobs but every time in the interview they would say that I don't really seem to have any admin/secretarial experience.

So this is what I do... (Pulled from my resume)

  • Manage, upgraded and redesigned the Access database to meet current needs.
  • Maintain the filing, recordkeeping, and record management.
  • Review data input by others to ensure accuracy.
  • Open new jobs and generated repair forms used by shop foreman to complete the repairs.
  • Prepare project cost and material reports for management.
  • Order parts and supplies for new jobs, scheduling them to be ready when the job starts.
  • Review inventory daily and create purchase orders as needed.

Basically all day every day, I am preparing reports, creating invoices for accounting, creating new shop orders (industrial facility), creating requisitions for parts, answering questions about the ERP system. At this point they have me working at a second location too.

Any help is appreciated!
