Job offer across country. What should I make sure before I take?

So I've been looking for a job for a few months now and thanks to this subreddit and other information I have finally received an offer. I have done 2 phone interviews with the company and after the second they talked about flying me out to interview in person. Out of the blue this past weekend, I received an email with an official job offer and they said they would call me this afternoon to discuss it in greater detail.

A little more background, I live in metro Atlanta now and I will be moving to the Bay Area so the cost of living is going to skyrocket. I am going from Salary now ,which I'm working 60+ hours a week and really dislike my job. I make 45.5K base salary about 55K with bonuses, and the offer in California is Hourly , which is offering $29/hour (I don't mind working a lot of hours so I'm actually really excited to be hourly). Benefits are MUCH MUCH better at the new place. Better insurance, 401K, Employee owned company so I'll get part of that when I leave if I stay long enough (it's an ESOP).

So the things I know I want to talk to them about are:

  • Any Relocation Package?
  • What overtime can I expect?
  • I plan to ask if there is any room to negotiate that hourly pay.

I have no college degree and have really busted my a** to make some money, but this is the first major Job move I've ever been a part of. What else should I be aware of? What am I missing?
