How should I go about negotiating pay

So I am going to an interview on Thursday and they are really fond of me so far and they want the position filled ASAP, so I think I am going to get the job. When the hiring manager asked me what my compensation requirement is I said 25/hr(I might have said “around 25”). He seemed very cool with it. Turns out the area is a little more expensive than I thought and I really want to try and get paid more if I get the job. Should I try to negotiate the pay? I’m looking for maybe 27/hr and it’s a decent size company. How should I go about doing this? This is my first “career” job out of college and have no idea what to do.
