Getting a Job through a recruiter. Was not fully informed by recruiter. Is it acceptable to go around recruiter?

I recently graduated college and I'm looking for a full time job now. I connected with a few recruiters on LinkedIn, and one of them said she had a position that she thought I was qualified for. We met for an initial interview, just me and the recruiter. I told her what I was looking for in a job, salary etc. I specifically said I wanted a full-time position, not contract, and she didn't say anything that would indicate that wasn't a possibility.

I interviewed with the company for the position, and the interview went great. They said they would be interested in hiring me as a full-time worker, and I was a little confused because I thought I was interviewing for a full-time position. I asked, and they said they didn't really understand how the recruiting agency works. As they understood it, they would hire me as a contractor for 6 months and then take me on full-time, but they were hoping there was some way they could fast track that process.

Later in the day, I got a phone call from the recruiter with an offer that she wanted me to accept immediately. I asked to see the offer first. It's a contract position, and I'll be losing a lot of money/benefits if I take this over a full-time position. I'm just kind of annoyed that the recruiter didn't explain any of this to me at first, even though I told her I wanted a full-time position.

Would it be appropriate to go around the recruiter and ask the manager I spoke to at the company to be hired full-time? At the interview, he seemed more interested in hiring me as a full-time worker. I really liked the position and the company and don't want to burn any bridges. I just feel like I was taken advantage of by this recruiter in some way.
