So I have a bit of a dilemma. I am currently a manager at a fast food restaurant for the part two years. I make 9.50/hr with no benefits but I pretty much have job security and My boss lets me take quite a few days off.
I have been offered a job at a retail store, non management, for 12.50/hr. But it turns out it’s a seasonal position. l expressed concerns about this and I was told that they will keeping a lot of seasonal people as long as we do a good job. Is it stupid of me to quit my lower paying permanent job for this much higher paying seasonal job?
Another thing is that if I take it then I will have varying shifts rather than working every single night as I do now. I have pretty much determined that I will be working one less day but making the same amount of money as I do at my current job. It would be very nice to have an extra day off. I’m just somewhat concerned about it not working out. I can’t keep both as I’m a student and only want to work part time. Any advice?
