I apologize if this is the wrong sub for this, but I recently encountered a bit of an issue with a background check. The background check company is waiting on a court search for a part of the country I have never lived in, and only once, very briefly visited. Is it normal to have a court search in a location that I haven't lived in? I know they look at employment and address, but I've had no interaction with anyone in the area of the court search. Does anyone have any idea what they may be looking for?
