Applied math major not sure what kind of jobs to apply for

I’m an applied math major graduating this spring (2021). I want to go to grad school but want to take a year off first and get a job. I would like to work somewhere like JPL, Lockheed, etc doing some type of data analysis or programming. I don’t have too much experience just some in MatLab and R. Is it possible to get a job at places like this and if so what type of jobs / what would I be doing?
