What kind of job should I be looking for?

Hey everyone,

I’m ready to switch careers after being in the Foodservice warehouse industry for the last 16 years with the same company. Some things changed at work in the last year and I just do not want to go back.

I’m off the next two weeks for voluntary layoff and ready to start my job search.

I’ve only had 2 jobs in my lifetime. 6 years in retail and 16 years with my current employer. I have my high school diploma and 3 years of college with no degree. What are some of my options? I would like a good office type entry level job where I can advance.

My first thought is to head to a career center and see if they can help.

Any advice is appreciated.
