New boss says I'm introverted

So it's my first week at my new job. It's the holidays over here so it's a short week and people are all busy. We are semi working from home.

I understand that the new boss expects alot of initiative and independence and that's what I've done. I try not to bug her with little questions like "who should I look for for this" "what does ABC stand for" etc. In fact after she briefly told me about the organization and our key objectives I just kinda took it upon myself to get my answers elsewhere. My boss is also heavily pregnant and going on maternity soon so I would really hate to bug her with little things. So I went to other coworkers for advice and they are happy to help. But now I'm concerned that because she didn't hear me asking these questions she thought I'm just being passive.

And recently I've just met and my team had lunch with a more senior management. So what happened was that after the lunch, my boss met me one to one and feedbacked to me that the senior management felt I was too quiet. She said something along the lines of I don't know how to say this except try not to be so introverted and if I ever want to be promoted I need to improve my communications and kind of impress my senior management.

I know it's a valid feedback but I also feel a little uneasy because it's a constant reminder that the business world is an extrovert's world. I've always tried to overcome this and all my working life I has no issue. I can work with people. I can give presentations and I've even spoken in front of a crowd of 100+ people. In the past few days I've also spoken up and gave suggestions in our team discussions. She feedbacked that they were very impressed by me during the interview because I was confident and asked the right questions. Well, I was very prepared.

But if they are evaluating me based on lunch interactions does it mean that I've to be good at small talk? It's only my first week and I didn't want to come across as trying too hard or dominating the conversation.

She also mentioned that I've to suit up more to project a more professional image. Which again is valid except that I'm already wearing work dresses and blazer while the senior management just showed up in berms and male coworkers regularly wear jeans and sneakers.

How do you achieve this vague idea of looking/speaking professionally/like a leader? I didn't ask my boss directly because I didn't want to come across as defensive and unreceptive to feedback.

I am definitely confident of my work abilities but this image thing seems kind of vague to me. Any tricks or ways i can practice?
