I have a distant relative who works in the tech arena that I met for the first time a couple of years ago. We only briefly talked. The relative reached out to my dad and asked if I needed any career opportunities since I asked for career advice a couple of years ago.

I want to email her, but I'm not sure what to say to her. My dad says just to send her my resume and some small talk banter, but I'm not entirely sure about the lingo. Should I start the conversation first - like ask how she's doing, then send my resume later? Should I call her instead? I don't want to burden her since we don't know each other very well, and I also feel like I will be awkward.
