Is it proper to remove (as well as unfollow) a former boss and his spouse from socials? He, the office manager, as well as their spouses have followed me on Instagram and Facebook during my time of employment.
However, with COVID, I was recently let go due to reduction of force. It’s a small firm and I was really the only employee.
However, I’m not sure how to proceed with my social media platforms since they are still following me.
I feel a little bitter that I was let go without proper notice but I also don’t want to come across as immature and may still need them for networking purposes and not burn a bridge. I also don’t really have much bad blood with them but I’m conflicted.
What are your thoughts?
