So I recently have been working as a cashier for the past month at a company and just dislike it due to the inconsistent hours, CEO, and minimum wage.
I used to have a lot of free time, so only decided to take it to help me occupy time while covid had everything else shut down in my state. I also have an additional source of income/stipend that covers all my bills.
Is there any con to just saying to a manager that I don’t want to work there anymore and give a 1 week notice? It’s just a cashier job, and I have a degree already. I asked for fewer hours and they’re scheduling me so much that I can barely find time to apply for other jobs. I’m also a full time grad student and don’t intend on working for that company ever again. Thank you for any suggestions!
