Typical notice to give in Canada for an office job?

I'm not curious about what is legal/not legal, more about what is typical/considered socially OK.

I'm in Canada, I've worked in IT for a large company for the last 7 years, quitting soon. I'm not in management, it's a technical role.

Would 2 weeks notice be too short? I assume either 2 or 3 weeks is acceptable, I'm wondering what other people have seen?
