Sterling has been doing my employee background check and now they're verifying my bachelor's degree (which is from another country, job is in the US) but they say that they can't contact the university which is absurd if they are calling within business hours.
They have instead asked me to send a copy of my title which is not a problem. My concern is that with the email request to send my title they also attached a document for me to sign to give consent. I already gave consent prior to all of this so I don't understand why they included it with the request for a copy of my title. What concerns me the most is how unprofessional it seems. Is this normal or even okay? I already okayed everything, hence why they are in the process of the background check and furthemore I don't understand why they couldn't just ask for my title if they were unable to manage calling the university during business hours.
