I have a job with my state and a job for a budget and policy analyst with tax and economic development just popped up in another agency. It sounds like something I would be interested in but it has the word “Senior” in the title and the monthly salary range is $5833 - $7083. I currently make about $3863.
It doesn’t list a degree requirement, experience requirement, etc. basically just stuff like excel expertise, curiosity, intellectual humility, etc. It does list bonus points for a graduate degree and programming skills which I have.
I’m not sure if I should apply because the title and salary make it seem above my experience level but it also doesn’t list anything I’m incapable of doing. I currently work in labor economics so I have a lot of experience that matches it. Should I just apply and see what happens?
