I have anxiety and it comes from the thinking that I will mess up an interaction with a customer ex. from not giving the exact change , messing up an order , not listening to an important detail in an interaction, how do I become better at listening and be present.

I'm scared I'm going fail and look stupid when I have an interaction that takes a significant amount of listening to understand the details. Yeah I'm not the brightest person but I want to be a better listener and learner on the spot so I wont make mistakes that will cost me my job. I basically want to become a good critical thinker so I can be helpful.

I've had panic attacks in the past and have seen a therapist but sometimes my mind still races when I'm talking to a person and when that happens I don't process well what the customer said. I've had a job at grocery store stocking salads, but never had important detail interactions.

I really want to get out of my head sometimes when my mind is racing and be present with the interaction I'm having , I want to be a better listener and critical thinker on the spot, does anybody have any useful tips ?

I've never had a job that dealt with customer service day to day because of my anxiety, my jobs have mostly been warehouse jobs and now that I don't have that job currently, I'm trying to prepare myself. What makes me even more nervous is that I don't have basic math skills / cashier experience
