Hello, 23y.o in Finance. I graduated this April from a non-target school but fairly decent reputation. I was able to secure a temporary job in a well-known company and was offered a full-time position after some time. The job pays decently, but it is not what I want to do long-term and is back office.
However, I was recently messaged by a connection who would like to refer me to this front office role, which would be my dream role. It is not guaranteed, and I have not done the interview for it yet. My only issue is that I do not have much time until I must accept or reject the full-time offer from my temporary job, in fact I have about 2 days before I must decide.
What would be the best decision? To reject it and try for the interview or to take the full-time role and try to move to front office from there? Or, even taking the role and work for a few months and if my dream job works out then to go to my dream job and possibly burn a bridge?
