Literally came home and cried today I'm 22 and today had an induction day for a company. I was due to start tomorrow but after being there for a few hours during induction. I realised this was not for me. Factory was very loud (expected) however the place was run like a prison. You went to a machine and stayed there for 8 hours that's it. There are 100s of employees and you can tell they they to make it one of those "we listen and care about our employees" kind of places but it didn't seem it. Theres no way management knows half the people there. Factory work isn't for me. And I didn't know until today that I prefer working in a small team or business. I just feel so unimportant in a huge factory workplace like that. Your also given a target to hit every hour and they take away bathroom breaks obvs. And then they calculate how much efficiency your working at. I had other offers for jobs but turned them down for this not knowing I would dislike it so much. Came home today and just cried. Back at square one again In the job hunting I informed the factory it weren't for me.
