Any and all advice appreciated!

So toward the end of last year, I decided to step away from the Master's I was working on (due to major grief occurring in my life). I decided to apply to another program, and turns out, my interest is dwindling. Through this, I have realized how I miss my old program and want to continue helping people. I reached out to my old advisor and they said I could re-apply, but I also don't know what to do in terms of filling out the application.

I don't want to continously feel like I'm drowning, but I do have a passion to help people and feel like my original program would do just that.

Any advice?
