I have 3+ years of work experience in the digital marketing field as a content specialist, which is my current role.
Before that, I finished 3 years of a mass comm bachelor's degree with a great GPA. I got very sick and could not physically go to class in the next semester. Because I filed for a medical withdrawal too late, it was rejected and my GPA was pretty much trashed. I now work and own a home in a different city and have no idea if I could even get accepted to another university.
My job now is kind of low paying, and I'd like to be more qualified and work somewhere better. I've had a few interviews, but I am always told they went with someone more qualified. Certifications at my local community college are super relevant to what the job ads are looking for. But are they any real replacement for a Bachelor's?
Also, mass comm really has nothing to do with what I currently do. It's just the most relevant degree at the university I went to.
I would like to know the best next steps, or how I could go about finding this info. Thanks!
