I quit my job at Sams of a year yesterday. I took a leave of absences and coming back was a trip. I wasn’t appearing in the system and none of the managers wanted to help me with my issue. I have texts messages that I would text my area manager and she would never reply. I was forced to drive up there once a week (I live 30 minutes away) to see if the system would let me clock in after I talked to the third party (Sedgwick) at least once a week as well. Anyway I was ABLE to come back on Thursday & to my surprise I get pulled into the office and get told I don’t work in my area anymore. They MOVED me from my area, moved my set off days, and added more work on top of that! I had asked to be moved to the morning a few months back and they said they couldn’t cause nothing was opened but in the meeting they let me know that one of my coworkers was moving to the mornings & they didn’t want me to feel like i was “overlooked”. Their reasoning was that she’s a part time and it’s easier to move a part time than a full time (even though I had said I wanted to move to the mornings and I wouldn’t care what position or what area I moved to). Anyway I quit the next day because to me what they did was shady and unfair. NOW, they keep on texting me to send them my resignation letter signed by me. I’ve had 4 texts so far. Does this mean that I can get unemployment with how everything with covid is going on and if I give them my resignation letter I won’t or?? Thanks in advance.
