Headline is accurate, am 4 months into a contract with a healthcare provider. At the beginning I specified I did not want to be stationed in a hospital and was told that I would not be placed in a hospital, instead I would be used for roaming deployments. That’s fine, walk in, drop devices, walk out and go back to an office where patients aren’t seen. Well, today was my first day reporting full time to a heavy traffic hospital when last week I was told my states infection rate has tripled. I work in IT and I’m literally feeling depressed to go to work, anxious as hell that I’m technically on the front lines and feeling utterly trapped. What the hell am I supposed to do outside of hunting for a new contract? Am I overreacting by not wanting to be placed in a hospital?
