I accepted the job offer and signed the contract but haven’t heard back since.

Hello, I got accepted for an internship starting in September around June 6th, signed the contract and sent them my documents on the 8th or so and was told they have everything they needed. About a month ago in early July I was contacted and they told me to provide references from my university as it’s an internship and I submitted them, but since then it has been dead silence. It’s been more than a month and there’s no more exchanges. Is this normal? Am I set to go to work?

This is my first job ever as a university student so I don’t know how these things work and if it’s normal for me to go 1-2 months with no contact after signing the documents and just randomly showing up to work on the first day. Thanks :)
