I've been looking for a job since last year (no kidding). Two Humanities degrees from Uni (what was I thinking?), $80,000 student loans + $9,000 credit card debt on my neck. I currently live with my parents and have an interview on Monday for a job involving one of the courses I studied, for a job that pays between $16-$18/hr, full-time. The company's 2-hrs away, about 40 miles, and I'll have to move to the city for the job. No car, so I've been looking for a rideshare to take me to the interview and people are asking me to pay $150, which is too much. If I take public transportation it'll take 4-hrs to get there, and fro, which is too long. I commuted daily for my second degree for about that length of time, to and fro, and it's not something I want to experience again, not even for a day. I'm practically broke right now and can't afford the $150 or so people are asking me to pay. The manager seemed really kind over the phone and I would hate to disappoint him. The job itself also seems interesting to me, but I can't afford to go. What to do?
