I had a really good interview today, at a job I really want. It's just customer service work, but it's way lower volume, lower pressure than what I am used to, and it's walking distance to my house, meaning I can get rid of my car and be way more free in terms of finances.
The interview was one of the best I've ever had, super lowkey and I got along with the manager very well. She offered me the job on the spot, told me all about the company and what to expect in terms of daily work and growth opportunities, and it really sounds completely perfect. As long as I get rid of the car, I should have some spare money each month, and she said to expect a raise in the not too distant future, which means even more spare money! It's not the most money I've ever been making, but after this pandemic, I'll take any job, honestly. Additionally, the hours work out well so that if I had to get a second job, I could. I am obviously super excited and anxious to sign paper work and make it "real". Is it obnoxious to send a follow up email when I already know the answer? I was thinking to wait until tomorrow and see what comes up, and if nothing, send a quick, "thanks so much for meeting me! I'm so excited to join the team and can't wait for my first day!" type of email.
