I’m 3 years out of college and I was laid off for COVID in April. I worked for my last company (e-commerce saas) for 2 years. Started as a recruiter, got promoted to out of HR to Marketing Specialist, did that for a year, and then in December I got promoted to Marketing Programs Manager. I was a high performer there and got a letter of recommendation from the CMO when I left.
Prior to working there I worked for an advertising tech company as an account coordinator where I managed clients and ran their digital marketing campaigns.
I have been struggling with the job hunt. Since I only had my last role for 4 months, I feel like that is hurting me. I feel like I’m slightly under-qualified for marketing manager jobs but over qualified for marketing specialist or coordinator jobs. I am trying to stay in marketing/demand gen, and don’t want to go back into account management. I also have copywriting experience and wouldn’t mind a hybrid content/DG role.
Does anyone have any advice? I’ve been seriously job hunting for about a month and not sure why I’m getting like no responses.
