I have a contract currently on offer. I interviewed with "Company A" and they went radio silent for about three weeks. I thought I didn't get the job. In the meantime, I interviewed elsewhere and made it to the third round of interviews at "Establishment B"
Out of the blue, "Company A" calls me and says that I am being offered a contract. I have to make a decision within a few days.
There are pros and cons to both. Both are in the Education field, which was always meant to be a temporary gig, but turned into a long-term one. There are some days where I find it rewarding, but other times when I just want out. The big thing for "Establishment B" would be that I would have to re-locate to the United States (I currently live in Taiwan).
I'm afraid if I go through the process and end up not signing with "Company A," I'll end up burning bridges. However, I do have a personal affiliation with "Establishment B", and the salary is about 30% higher. They've been very accommodating in pushing the interview process forward to get me by the needed start date, and I don't want to piss them off if I can't make it back to the US due to COVID.
What would you do in this situation? This whole thing has me really nervous that I'll end up losing both.
