Will try and paraphrase as best I can here, and will keep the company anonymous.
Received a text from a random number this morning, it happened to be an HR person for company. He says they got my resume from indeed and shortlisted me and forwarded it to his hiring manager. He sends me an email with a link to chat with the HR person on the ICQ app.
We've been talking all day, she gives me the job details (I don't remember ever applying for the position, they must have found me on indeed), pay, background of the company (they have a legitimate website and nothing seems suspicious about it.
I go through this round of questioning which takes a couple hours. I send to her and hear back a few hours later after the board reviewed, she says i scored 71/00 and "above average" on the questioning...and that I got the position out of 281 candidates. ok?
From here on out we discuss the position details, that it is work from home and that the company will provide me a check for me to cash and purchase equipment / software from company approved vendors, this seems suspicious as wouldn't a company send items directly to employees?
Offer letter supposed to come tomorrow with full details on everything, I guess we'll wait and see.
