I’ve been job searching for over a year now, and the thing I hate most is the automated phone screens on sites like Indeed. I spend so much time stressing over what the questions may be and how to answer them, hanging up several times throughout the questions because I just can’t figure out how to answer. It gives me a ton of anxiety and when it’s finally over with, the company never bothers with as much as a canned rejection response.
At this point in my job search I’ve decided to stop doing them. I’ve already taken the time to custom tailor my resume and write a cover letter; if the company wants to interview me they can have a person do it.
Just curious how other people feel about things like this?
