Is it okay to take a random job that might not align with career path just to provide some income and a sense of stability?

For background: Late 20's unemployed male who graduated from a mid-tier MBA program in May with a concentration in Finance and Investment Management. Previous experience includes 2 years as a broker for a large online stock brokerage firm, bookkeeping before that, and hospitality (waiting tables, etc.) in teens and early 20's.

I have been actively looking for entry-to-mid level roles in the finance sector for about two months. Follow-up from employers has been pretty scarce. I'll note that I'm applying locally and despite being in a larger US city with a healthy economy, it's not exactly a finance hub. I've had a few interviews that I admittedly could have done better at (I cannot get past interview anxiety for the life of me), and those have led to two possibilities that I am waiting to hear back on.

The boredom, uncertainty, and lack of an income are driving me nuts to put it mildly. It can leave one feeling like a subhuman, which does not exactly help in demonstrating confidence with recruiters. (For those who know the feeling, best of luck catching up with friends and family members this Thanksgiving when asked what you've been up to).

At this point, I would really do just about any job I could get. Part of me would rather do something that I don't put on a pedestal as the stepping stone to my dream career. I would really just like the feeling of routine and self-sufficiency to help build my confidence and provide some clarity as I contemplate longer-term ambitions.

If someone in my situation were to take some random gig that I never would've imagined doing back when I was in grad school (say waiting tables, working at a brewery, retail sales, or any random entry-level job to make ends meet), would doing so make one less employable in the future? Would employers in more professional industries see that as "scarlet letter" of sorts? By the same token, being unemployed for so long is somewhat of a red flag as well, so I'm not sure whether it's better to pursue some random job or bide my time while trying for something more career-oriented.
