Interview Question: Making a difficult decision with no direction

I’m preparing for a junior management interview and the main question they will ask is, “Tell is about a time when you had to make a difficult decision with no direction.” I’m aware that this is to find out if I can make managerial decisions about the business on my own. I’ve been a manager before but in a different industry. The problem is, I’m blanking in past experience and I can’t recall any situation that would fit. I’m hoping Reddit can give me some examples of their own answers to this question to hopefully jog my memory of my own experiences (it’s been 2+ years since I was in a management role and I kinda blocked out my past industry because it was a nightmare). I’m not looking to steal anyone’s story as my own because I’m genuinely interested in getting this job on my own merits. Just hoping y’all can suggest something that I might be able to draw on and recall back to.
