So I was an Intern in Deloitte in Taxes but I decided that it wasn't the job for me and I gave a stupid reason (I told them that I have to leave the country and get in touch with my supervisor because of some problems with the dissertation) to cancel my internship to the HR. HR staff were kind enough to tell me that I can write them where I am done with it and express me intention if I want to continue working for them, and if the position is available they would accept me again.
Now the problem is that I honestly hate doing that job and I want to ask them if they have any available positions and switch to the consulting department, but I messed it up in the interview because I talked about that Tax Internship like it was my dream job :/. I don't know how to tell them now that I want a job in Consulting :/ (also, I hold a postgraduate degree in Management and Consulting is what suits me best).

PS. I told HR that I will be back in the country by the end of November and also by that time I would also write them if I was interested to continue or not.
