Quitting toxic workplace before securing another job

My company has multiple offices across the country I'm in and my contract is to the office that's in my province. The team/department I joined is across the country and the idea was that we would learn from the team there to start a new team in the home province... So we came here for training lasting 3 to 6 months. I'm past the 3 month mark.

My problem is, there is no training, there's little to no learning to be done in person, the work is all online, we have many tools at our disposal to communicate... but my managers are not letting me go home and work from that office. They keep giving me insufficient reasons as to why I'm forced to stay.

I'm miserable here. I'm a minority in the office with 2 others (the majority is not white). We used to be more but three of us quit within the month. My coworker who was hired at the same time as me and for the same reason was allowed to stay in the home province permanently... Partially because they have a spouse to go home to and I don't.

The other (home) office has much better vibes and doesn't have that Us VS Them mentality that this office has. I've been moping to the point one of the new dads at the office asked me why I look so sad.

I've started looking elsewhere and formulating a plan to leave. I did get advice that it's easier to be hired elsewhere when already employed, but my mental health has been taking a hit... I'm an engineer doing data entry in an engineering team while the married coworker gets to do engineering stuff... Why do I have to stay in this office.

Should I stick it out or just hand in my 2 weeks if they're unwilling to budge on letting me go work from the home province office next month?
